Wirtz and the Westlake corridor are where the Franklin County side shops, eats and gets things fixed, so it is natural territory for us. Boats on the Gills Creek arm get dock pickup at the marina or at private docks, and trailer boats can meet us anywhere along Route 122. Prices come off the published table either way.
Gills Creek is a big-pontoon arm, and the jobs here skew toward furniture sets and playpen covers. A full set re-cover is the largest single line on our price table, so we quote it piece by piece after squeezing every cushion. Most sets have four or five pieces that need work now and several that honestly do not.
The snap line dies before the canvas does
Playpen covers on the Gills Creek arm fail at the snap line years before the fabric dies, because the covers get snapped and unsnapped weekly all season. Re-binding the snap line and replacing the snaps costs a fraction of a new cover, and it is a repair almost nobody around the lake offers, so owners assume the whole cover is done.

Do you pick up at Gills Creek Marina?
Yes, with the marina’s scheduling. Private docks on the arm work too. Most Wirtz jobs are measured at the dock and returned inside two weeks off season.
Can you repair a playpen cover instead of replacing it?
Often yes. If the canvas itself still holds water out, new binding and snaps run far less than a new cover. If the fabric tears at a finger poke, we say so and quote the replacement honestly.
What is the difference between marine vinyl grades you offer?
We stock a standard marine grade rated for UV and mildew and a premium grade with higher cold-crack resistance and a thicker top film. The premium adds roughly 15 to 20 percent to a seat job and makes the most sense on uncovered slip boats.
Can I drop pieces off instead of paying for dock service?
Yes. Dock service is included in our published prices, but if you would rather hand us cushions at a meetup along Route 122, that works and the price does not change, the table is the table.
