A pontoon set is eight to fourteen separate pieces, and they never age evenly. The laybacks and helm seat take sun and traffic all day while the shaded corner benches coast. Re-cover my pontoon set or buy replacement furniture?
Price both, then look at fit. Catalog furniture rarely matches your rail layout and often costs more than re-covering, and factory-original bases are usually sturdier than replacements. When your bases are too far gone we say so and help you compare honestly.
Why do laybacks and helm seats fail first?
They get the most body contact and the most sun. Corner benches under the bimini shade can outlast them by five years or more, which is exactly why piece-by-piece quoting beats redoing the whole set on a calendar.
Can you match my pontoon’s original two-tone pattern?
Almost always. Marine vinyl books carry the common factory colors, and we pattern the panels from your originals so the stitch lines land where the factory put them.
What about the seat bases and hinges?
Rotted plywood gets replaced with sealed marine ply, rusted hinges with stainless. A set re-cover includes checking every base, because new vinyl on a soft base is money wasted.
How long is a full set off the boat?
We stage it. Half the furniture comes off while half stays usable, then they swap. Off season a full set runs two to four weeks total; in season, book ahead and plan around the calendar we quote you.
